Dear Sponsor:
The Asian Youth Center (AYC) is a private, community based non-profit organization created by United Way in 1989 to provide social and health services to immigrant and local families, with a focus on Asian youth and children residing in the San Gabriel Valley and Greater Los Angeles areas. After 18 years of community services, our programs have helped thousands of families and individuals, both Asian and non-Asian, become successful and contributing citizens.
Each year, besides receiving public funding from the government, AYC is required to raise matching funds from the private sector to support the un-funded portion of our budgets. Our annual gala event will also recognize organizations and individuals that have made an outstanding impact in the youth community. This year, our 18th Anniversary Celebration & Awards Dinner will be held on:
Friday, October 19, 2007 at 6 P.M.
San Gabriel Ballroom
Hilton Los Angeles/San Gabriel
225 West Valley Boulevard
San Gabriel, CA 91776
We are very fortunate to have two prominent community leaders as well as long-term AYC supporters serving as our Honorary Dinner Co-Chairs: California Controller John Chiang and California Assembly Member Michael Eng. Representing our Board will be the Dinner Co-Chairs Mrs. Marissa Castro-Salvati and Mr. Michael Carney. The evening’s activities will include a variety of performances, a Silent Auction and an Opportunity Drawing.
Realizing that your organization has provided much support to charitable organizations, we sincerely hope that we can count on you to become a major sponsor of our agency. You can do so by becoming a table sponsor and/or donor of gift items for our silent auction and/or raffle prizes. Donors and sponsors will be acknowledged at the dinner, in our commemorative program book and promotional materials.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and clients, we thank you for your kind considerations of our mission. In partnership with sponsors like you and your corporation, Asian Youth Center can continue to improve the quality of life for thousands of participating youth and families.
One of our dinner committee members will be contacting you soon to answer any questions you may have regarding our event and our request for sponsorship. You can also contact us at (626) 309-0425 x103 for more information. Please accept our deepest appreciation for your support.
Sincerely,
May L. To
Executive Director
